We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Life Lived is a memorial notice platform for Australian Funeral Arrangers, operated by Nex-a. In this policy, 'we', 'us' and 'our' refer to Nex-a as the operator of the Life Lived platform. The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with the platform:
Families do not create or edit notices on Life Lived. Notices are created and managed only by funeral directors and platform administrators.
We use personal information to operate and provide the memorial notice service. This includes creating and displaying memorial notices, hosting tributes and tributes, sending notices to families for approval, moderating submitted content, sending notifications and summaries, and maintaining the security and integrity of the platform. We also use technical and analytics data to understand how the platform is used and to improve it.

Some of these providers may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We do not sell your personal information.
Memorial notices on Life Lived are designed to keep resolving over the long term. The notice record, written tribute text, service details, and tribute text are retained with the notice. Uploaded media, including photos, music, and video, may be removed after the archive period that applies to each notice, after which the notice page continues to display without that media. Tribute data is retained alongside the notice to which it relates.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include access controls, encryption in transit, and server-side handling of sensitive operations. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading.
